World of Wine: Discover Spain and Portugal!

Let's take a closer look at the wonderful wines coming out of Spain and Portugal. Both countries produce wine of great quality and value and have certainly grabbed increased attention in the world of wine!

There is more to Portugal than just Port and more to Spain than just Rioja. Portugal's cooler areas in the northwest produce some very interesting white wines and the grapes grown in the Douro Valley for Port production are used to make some robust, ripe and chocolatey reds - some of the best value reds to be had! 

Spain has also become more and more popular for fragrant whites such as Albarino, Verdejo and Godello. All offer a great alternative to some of the more classic varieties such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. 

And when it comes to reds is Rioja still king or have some of the other regions such as Ribera del Duero, Toro or Priorat taken over the crown?
