Event Description
Some of the best Italian wines come from the big three regions – Tuscany, Piedmont and Veneto where famous wines such as Barolo, Amarone and Chianti are produced. In recent decades there has also been big improvements in quality with wines from Campania, Basilicata, Puglia and Sicily now giving us even more to explore.
We will tour through Italy sampling its lovely wines as we go. And we'll also make it easier to understand the principles of food and wine pairing - cracking the wine pairing code!
By the end of the evening you will have learned:
- common grape varieties
- how to understand Italian wine labels
- helpful principles for general food and wine pairing
All tastings include 6 wines sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, and use of professional tasting glasses.
All our courses can be purchased as a Gift either as a dated or undated voucher.
