Event Description
Chile, a viticultural paradise with hot, sunny days, chilly nights, little rain and cooling breezes, Chile is famous for being the only wine-producing country free of the devastating phylloxera bug. It is South America's, and probably, the worlds finest source of well-priced, excellent quality varietal wines with sleek, fruity reds and ripe, clean whites. As winemaking techniques and the search for better sites improves, some truly fine wines are beginning to emerge.
A long and narrow country, only 100 miles wide, and bordered by the cool Pacific on one side and the Andes on the other, it is home to a wide range of terroirs, making it a winegrower's paradise. The is a diverse range of wine styles from the crisp, grassy Sauvignon Blanc of the Casablanca and Elqui valleys to the elegant, age-worthy Bordeaux type Blends from Maipo Valley and Colchagua. From Chiles signature Carmenere to the ultra drinkable Merlots.
On this evening a minimum of 6 wines will be tasted.
