Grape Off Saturday: Laura vs Simon!

Great news! We'll be hosting another Grape Off Saturday but this time it's going to get personal as for the first (and probably only time!) it'll be Laura vs Simon

 

Simon usually hates to host tastings, but he has been persuaded to take part in everyone's favourite wine competition as a one-off special. The rules are familiar to everyone by now, I am sure. But to recap briefly:

We will select a white grape each and a red grape each. The person who chooses the grape forfeits the right to select the country first. 

So, if Simon opts for (just as an example!) Sauvignon Blanc... then I would be able to select the country (so, NZ, France, RSA, Chile etc). 

 

The overall aim is to make a convincing arguement to you, the judge and jury of the event, that our combination of grape variety and country is the best. To illustrate our conviction we shall bring two wines... one under £17.50 and one under £35. It's your job to taste the wines and vote for the winner. 

As always, lunch will be laid on by the Reli. Delicious food, lively company, plenty of trash talk and hopefully no divorces at the end of the day!!
