ONLINE TASTING: World of Wine - Chile & Argentina

PLEASE NOTE: TASTING KITS WILL BE POSTED OUT NEXT WORKING DAY FROM MAR 31st. If you book after this date, we will do our best to get your kit to you as soon as possible. As a reminder, anyone registered for this tasting will also have access to the tasting recording so if you are worried about not receiving your kit in time, rest assured you will be able to watch the recording and taste along at any time that is convenient for you.

Part One – Chile

What makes Chile such an attractive ‘safe bet’ for a consumer? We’ll look at the facts, looking at the climate through to the diverse country that is Chile. White grape varieties such as the crisp Sauvignon Blanc, balanced Chardonnay and soft and smooth reds such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot rule the roost and not forgetting the highly-acclaimed Carmenere. Anywhere that hosts a ‘Casablanca’ must be good news, ‘here’s looking at you kid!’

Part Two – Argentina

Although production (5th in the world) has been dropping, quality is rising. With a focus on the famed wine region Mendoza, Malbec has carved a reputation of high quality often notably higher than its’ French origins. It is currently one of the buzz grapes in the UK market. But it doesn’t stop there; there’s plenty of Viognier, Torrontes and Shiraz to discover too, all the more for us to taste our way through.

The Wines:

For this tasting, students will receive tasting kits with 50ml samples of the wines tasted throughout the duration of this course. 

• Tasting kit delivery can be made to anywhere within the UK. Currently deliveries to outside the UK are not available.

Unable to commit on the evening? No problem! Anyone registered for this tasting will gain access to the video recording of the live event, so you can always revisit any of these at anytime in the future - whether its because you missed participating in the live evening or if you want to revisit the presentation at a later date.
