1990 Vintage - Bordeaux

The greatness of the 1990 Bordeaux vintage, one of our favourite vintages and one whose wines are currently showing even better than the 1982s in many cases, was not widely acknowledged until the late 1990s. A vintage that was released as a decent year but has gathered serious momentum over the last three decades. When Robert Parker looked at the 1982 and 1990 Bordeaux vintages in 2009, to see if they had developed equally of differently, he found that the 1990s actaully gained on his points scale in comparison to the 1982s that decreased. 1990 Bordeaux wines continue to improve. 1990 Bordeaux wine are rich, roasted, velvety, intense, sensual expressions of Bordeaux wine. Plus, the quality of the vintage allowed great wine to be produced at all levels in every appellation.
