Our France vs The New World evening is the most fun you can have whilst actually learning a great deal about the role of 'terroir', winemaking, and grape varieties.
We'll set up 3 rounds of head-to-head tastings between France and the rest of the world. Who is a champion with Chenin Blanc? Who has the superior Syrah? Why does everyone grow Chardonnay?
The classic regions of France; Rhone, Loire, and Burgundy will all be explored and explained.
You'll also have a chance to compare the same grape variety grown in different parts of the world.
We are confident that we can teach you enough about France vs The New World in just 2 hours of tasting. So we'll end the evening with a blind tasting round and see if you can pick out the French classic from the New World pretender.
