Event Description
In the first of a new series of online wine tastings we visit Spain and taste three under the radar wines from grapes you may not have tried before.
Spain is an exciting and vibrant wine producing country with a long history of viticulture and winemaking stretching back 2,000 years and more.
Like its neighbours France and Italy, regional difference is important (culture, food, dialect) and many of Spain's 17 autonomous communities have grape varieties and wine styles uniquely associated with them.
This online tasting will explore the following three grapes:
- Verdejo, a white grape from Castillia-y-Leon (Rueda DO)
- Godello, a white grape from Galicia (Valdeorras DO)
- Bobal, a red grape from the Levant (Murcia DO)
The one hour tasting includes a digital presentation with live interaction, food and wine pairing ideas emailed to you in advance, a recording for you to review and a tutored tasting of three delicious wines.
