Champagne & Sparking Wine Tasting

Enjoy a decadent evening of fine sparkling wine!  Why is Champagne much more expensive than Prosecco?  Is English sparkling wine expensive?  We'll sample 6 sparkling wines including Champagne, Prosecco and English fizz so you can make your mind up!

For many people, a glass of fizz before the start of a meal can be among the most enjoyable drinks of the evening.

The process involved in making the bubbles is key to the flavour and style in the glass. We will sample Champagne (made using the traditional method) and compare with other bubblies made from around the world.

During the evening we will cover:

• the differences between Champagne, Prosecco and Cava
• a comparison with New World sparkling wines
• perfect foods to complement Champagne

All tastings include: a minimum of 6 wines sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, full tasting notes, use of professional tasting glasses and nibbles.
