Event Description
Join us to celebrate the Queen's Platimum Jubilee weekend for an evening of Fizz, canapes and a fish & chip supper hsted at our beautiful outdoor venue, The Walled Garden.
The evening starts with an introduction to the origins of Sparkling Wine. and an aperitif style Fizz, perfect for Summer slurping.
In the first tasting of the evening we'll show you how to tell the difference between a Prosecco and a Champagne and you'll enjoy pairing some delicious fish based canapes with three different styles of Sparkling Wine.
We'll then explain why Sparkling Wine is a match made in heaven with Fish & Chips and you'll enjoy a portion of locally sourced traditional fish & chips paired with two more wines.
During the evening you will taste six different styles of Sparkling wine:
- A French regional Sparkling wine
- A Prosecco from Italy
- A Cava from Spain
- Buskingham Palace's Vintage Champagne
- A Champagne look-a-like from the New World
- A fine English Fizz
This is an outdoor event. The event area is covered so there is protection in the event of light showers however if rain is forecast we recommend you bring a raincoat. The event area is not heated so bring a blanket in case the evening turns a bit chilly.
Please note: The Fish & Chips for this event is sourced locally and fried in beef dripping. We are therefore unable to offer a vegetarian alternative on this occassion.
