Event Description
Gentle rolling hills, tall pine trees, historic hilltop towns and of course lots of vines, for many this is quintissential Italy.
This region has been experiencing a slow but steady wine revolution which is now bearing fruit. The traditional region of Tuscany has embraced change but maintained it's focus on the Sangiovese grape while other neighbouring regions including Lazio, Umbria & Marche offer an exciting mix of different grape varieties and wine styles - some traditional, some new.
This region captures the true spirit of Italian wine - a glorious hotch potch of different wines all packed with personality.
Join us to taste your way through the some of the best wines of the region including a Brunello di Montalcino, the biggest, boldest expression of the Sangiovese grape, a Vin Santo del Chianti and a Pecorino which I think is a challenger for the title of Italy's greatest white grape.
The evening will include a little fine cheese and and a sweet treat carefully paired with a couple of the wines.
