Event Description
This tasting takes you to the well-established but continuously improving new world favourite California and North America.
Our California and North America tasting on the 20th of October will feature for the first time an award winning wine from Arizona.
Wine is produced to a greater or usually lesser extent in every American state. The biggest by far is California with 85% of US production. And of course California will feature strongly in the tasting. Like California, grapevines have been grown in Arizona for more than 400 years. Today the Arizona wine industry is enjoying something of a renaissance. In recognition of Arizona’s growing international acclaim we shall taste a Coronado Vineyards, Sangiovese from Cochise County, Arizona.
Join us as we travel across this very exciting wine continent. California has an enormous diversity of climate from the cool coastal regions making great Pinot Noir to the warmer inland vineyards which specialise in some amazing big fruity Zinfandels. Great quality is also to be had from the Pacific North West to Niagara, regions not yet on most people's radar.
Join us to enjoy outstanding wines from the land of opportunity!
