There are no upcoming dates for this event. Please view all events.

Duration
2 hours

Event Description

A fun evening where we help develop your blind tasting skills!

Come and sample specially chosen  wines showing typical French style and compare them  with wines made in New World countries such as Australia, South Africa the United States or New Zealand using the same grapes.

Learn to tell the difference by sight, smell and taste alone! It really helps you understand the impact climate makes in wine production.

Which will you prefer - the French versions or the New World versions? Each evening we will finish voting for our favourites and you may be surprised!

At this tasting, you will learn more about French wine, but you will also build your confidence to explore different wines. The next time you select wine in shops and restaurants you will more likely choose the grapes and country suiting your own taste preference.

Pinot Noir is the grape that makes red Burgundy from light wines good with simple starters to astounding wines matured with age perfect for a special treat. Sauvignon Blanc makes the famous wines from Sancerre and Pouilly Fume in the Loire. . But what do their New World counterparts taste like and do they pair with the same foods?

This evening is one of a series of three where we celebrate wine diversity -                            join us for the other two and save £15

Chardonnay and Syrah/Shiraz 25 November
