Event Description
Join us on Saturday 13th May to celebrate Hannah's 50th Birthday.
We will start the day at 11am with a welcome pair of sparkling wines and taste our way around the world from there.
The wines will be tasted pairs of the same grape variety, one grown in the "Old World" of wine, Europe, and the other the "New World"
Who is the champion with Chenin Blanc? Who has the superior Syrah? Why does everyone grow Chardonnay? And where to buy if you are picky about Pinot Noir. You'll learn about the classic regions of France, Spain, Italy and beyond. Will it be French Champagne or English Sparkling Wine that floats your boat?
We'll even try a pair or two blind and see if you can pick out the European classic from the New World pretender.
Taking place at the historic surroundings of the Townhouse Hotel it's sure to be a day to remember.
The two-course lunch at the 101 Brasserie (any special dietary requirements catered for, just let us know in advance)
