Many of these wines of course have long and distinguished histories such as Hungarian Tokaji which was a favourite in the courts of Europe’s Medieval kings and queens?
The wines for these sessions will vary as there are so many to choose from and some come back into favour, but a typical tasting will include a total of 6 wines chosen from Greece, Austria, Hungary and the Lebanon and may include indigenous varieties from less famous parts of Spain , Portugal and France
We will give you the background on each region, its history and unique growing conditions, which of course influences the wine in our glass, which we will taste on route to discovering the characteristics of the different grape varieties. And of course, local food and wine traditions will be examined too!
This is a great way to try new wines and discover new favourites, to help you have more to choose from when you next buy your wine.
