Stephen didn’t grow up in a wine drinking family and only started drinking it when he moved to London for work after graduating. After 15 years in investment banking he moved to Paris in 2011 when his partner was offered a job there and enrolled to study cuisine at the famous Le Cordon Bleu school (after watching Julia & Julia too many times!). While there the school launched their first ever diploma in the art, science and management. It lasted for 9 months and took him to many vineyards in France, allowed him to work a harvest in Bordeaux and spend 6 weeks as a junior somm in a top level restaurant in Paris. On returning to the UK he bought a pub in Argyll on the West coast of Scotland and put his Cordon Bleu diplomas to work. While there he started on his WSET path and finished the WSET diploma a few years ago. Owning the Glasgow Wine School is the next part of his wine journey and he's looking forward to sharing that with as many people as possible.
