Event Description
Australia is home to varied and very different wine-making regions. From the hot Barossa Valley which produces rich, chocolatey and peppery Barossa Shiraz to the cooler Margaret River which produces elegant Cabernets and Sauvignon Blancs. From deliciously crisp, dry Rieslings made in Clare/Eden Valleys to rich, honeyed Semillons from Victoria and Hunter valley. The variations are endless. Regionality is the new buzzword in Australian wine ! In this tasting we show you why this is the case, with great wines from some of the coolest locations in OZ!
New Zealand is home to New World Sauvignon Blanc, but there is so much moreto these 2 islands than that!
South Island also produces some wonderful Pinot Noirs, whilst the warmer climate of North Island is home to delicious Riesling and Gewürztraminer, a fuller, softer, riper, white wines.
All tastings include: minimum of 6 wines sourced locally so you can find them easily if you like them, full tasting notes and use of professional tastings glasses.
