Event Description
Let's be honest. If you were offered the choice between an unknown indigenous varietal wine whose name looks impossible to pronounce, or something well known lsuch as a Merlot, how many of us would take a gamble and try the former? Looking at the sales and production data, my money is on the latter!
The indigenous grapes can be special. When vines are grown in the microclimates and soils where they’ve evolved they can produce grapes that are full of individual character— often much more so than international varities would be in the same location.
Wines from Central and Eastern Europe are gaining worldwide recognition and we will be exploring some of these delicious wines.
