Event Description
We're finding the wines from Australia are becoming more and more diverse as we see grapes you'd associate with European countries popping up. We tasted a lovely Tempranillo recently - the back bone of many Spanish red wines.
We'll explore the different regions, from the hot Barossa Valley, to the cooler, some say more elegant wines of the Margaret River.
We all know NZ is home to Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (most drunk wine in the UK) and wonderful Pinot Noirs of Otago, but what about the aromatic wines from New Zealand which are on the up…..such as Riesling and Gewürztraminer, a fuller, softer, riper, white wines.
So be prepared to taste some different and wonderful wines from these two amazing, innovative countries!
We'll be tasting at least 6 wines on this event.
This event is also part of our 4 Week Tour of the New World
