Event Description

The week an Old World Wine Tasting vs the same grape or similar styles from the New World Countries of New Zealand, Chile, and South Africa. But which will you prefer?

Four White Wines and Two Red Wines

Kicking off with Germany and the Riesling grape? So, so versatile making wines from super dry, to super sweet, everything in between and sparkling too, maybe you know Sekt. The campaign to get this grape back in the shops, into restaurants and onto our favourites list has been hugely successful. Let's taste next to a New Zealand version. Even the Kiwis love it!

Heading to England now to taste a white wine made from Chardonnay, tasted alongside a Chardonnay from Chile. The mot innovative wine region in recent years...you decide!

Portugal has been flying up the red wine league table in leaps and bounds. Turning their hand to making red wines as well as Port has been hugely successful. We'll be tasting a similar grape, a red wine from South Africa.
