Event Description
We'll try various cheeses from local cheesemakers and cheesemongers: goat's cheese, salty cheddar, melting brie styles, creamy blue cheese, swiss mountain cheese and crumbly cheddar.
You'll learn the principles of cheese and wine pairing so you can get it right first time when you do it at home.
There will be something for everyone in this special tasting. If you like cheese and you like wine, it is the perfect combination.
On the evening we will try six different cheese and wine combinations, and while they will vary from one event to another they will include some of the following:
- Chevre and Sancerre
- Comté with Chardonnay
- Farmhouse Cheshire and Chenin Blanc
- Brie with Pinot Noir
- Roquefort with Monbazilliac
- Manchego with Amarone
- Vintage Cheddar and Bordeaux
