Event Description
A 2-part online course touring Hawkes Bay and Central Otago learning what's special about each. Think New Zealand is all about Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc? Think again...
Click here if you want to book for TWO people or more.
Hawke’s Bay is New Zealand's most varied wine region. Parts of it are quite warm and well drained - enough to produce fine Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Located in the South Island of New Zealand, Central Otago is well known for its spectacular vineyards and premium quality wines. Although Pinot Noir is the dominant grape variety, there is more that is attracting international attention.
We'll compare Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir from Central Otago and warmer Hawkes Bay, then dive further into Hawkes Bay to learn about the wines made from Bordeaux grapes and Chardonnay and discover what on earth is so special about Gimblett Gravels.
James Thorne has put together a 6-case of delicious wines at an exclusive 15% discount.
Note - you need only consume a tasting sample of each wine opened during the session and you can follow our wine preservation tips to keep leftovers for another day.
Simply book your spaces and we'll send a link for ordering the wines. We will also send instructions for joining the Zoom calls from a desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile phone. Zoom is proving to be a very sociable medium for wine tasting so we can guarantee you'll have fun! Each session will last just over an hour.
